Fonts from proprietary file types, such as Microsoft Word documents, may not be reproduced perfectly in the PDF generated by Managemate

Fonts vary widely across systems and as such, Managemate's PDF generation system may not have access to the fonts that are used in a user's file. This is most common in Microsoft Word files, but can occur in other file formats as well.

To address the issue, save fonts used in the document in the file.

For Microsoft Word files, you may try the following to save the fonts in the file. Note that the process may vary based on the version of Microsoft Word you are using.

  1. Click on "File" in the main menu

  2. Click on "Options" in the menu that appears

  3. Click on the "Save" section of the menu that appears

  4. Select the "Embed fonts in the file" option.

Embedded fields in proprietary files, such as Microsoft Word documents, may not be reproduced perfectly in the PDF generated by Managemate

Some users will use fields in their working files, such as in Microsoft Word. These fields are sometimes referred to as "control" fields, but may have other names.

When trying to merge proprietary files containing control fields, Managemate's PDF generator system may not be able to perfectly reproduce the content entered into these fields.

Accordingly, before uploading proprietary files containing fields, such as control fields in Microsoft Word files, try one of the following:

  1. Remove the control fields from the MS Word document, OR

  2. Print the MS Word document to PDF using MS Word's built-in PDF print option, before saving the file in a document in Managemate
