Using Managemate, you can easily update events and tasks through the using our activities feature.
How to update an activity from the activities tab
To get started on updating an activity, click on the “activities” tab in the menu sidebar on the left-hand side of the website.
Editing from the overview will allow you to make updates such as flagging and unflagging an activity, changing the activity’s priority, marking an activity as complete, changing the activity name, changing the activity due date, changing the assignee, linking to an existing project, viewing and adding a status update and changing the type of activity.
Click in-line on any of the sections in the column to make quick changes to your activity.
Flagging and unflagging
Flag an activity by clicking on the flag in the first column from the left-hand side.
This can easily help everyone make note of the activity.
Changing priorities
Click on the priority column of your chosen activity to see the drop-down menu to change it.
You can select from “high”, “medium” and “low” from the drop-down menu
After clicking on the new option, your choice will be automatically saved
Marking an activity as complete.
Click on the circle in the “completed” column to mark an activity as complete.
An activity marked as complete will no longer show up immediately in the activities overview, but you can always select “all” in the quick filters to see the completed activities.
Changing the activity name
Click in-line on your chosen activity to quickly edit the name of your activity.
Click on the checkmark to save your changes
Changing the due date
Click in line on the due date to update the due date for your activity.
You can manually type in the date or click the calendar icon to browse through the calendar view to select a date.
Press the check mark to save your changes
Changing the assignee
Press the icon of the current assignee or the edit icon next to their icon to change the assignee of the activity.
Press the “x” to clear the current assignee.
Choose a new assignee by scrolling through the drop-down menu or start typing in the name of your assignee.
Click on the check mark to save your changes.

Viewing a status update
Scroll right using the scroll bar on the bottom to find the “status update” column.
If an activity has existing status updates, a “view update” button will appear, along with a note displaying the date of the most recent update
Click on the “view update” button to view the posted updates to the activity.
You can also scroll through status update in "view" mode of an activity.
Updating activity to link to an existing project
Using the bottom scroll bar, scroll towards the right to find the “linked project column”
Click in-line on the edit button or name of the linked project.
A drop-down menu will appear, listing all your existing projects.
Select the project you want, then press the check mark to save your changes
Changing activity type
Using the bottom scroll bar, scroll right to find the “type” column
Click in line to see a drop-down menu of the activity types.
Choose between “task” and “event” by clicking on the option you want.
Click on the check mark to save your changes.
Creating a new status update
Click on the arrow button in the last column titles “actions”
In the drop-down menu that appears, click “add status update”
A pop-up will appear, allowing you to add your status update.
Press “add” to save your changes and make the update visible to everyone
Updating activities in the full edit mode
To update an activity’s description, add a start date, add tags, vendors, cost estimates, invoices, and documents to a given activity, you will need to navigate to the “edit” page for the chosen activity.
To get to the “edit” page for an activity in table view, click on the arrow in the “actions” column. A drop-down menu with options will appear. Click “edit”.
Getting to "edit" mode in list view is similar. Find the "actions" column and click the arrow. Then select "edit"
The edit overview pop-up will allow you to make changes to the type of activity, the activity name, due date, assignee and description of the specific activity you selected.
If you would like to make changes to other information, click “edit all fields” at the bottom of the pop-up. This will allow you to add more details to the activity.
Making updates to an activity’s description
Click in-line on any of the options in the activity description to make changes. You can choose to edit the following in this section:
Activity name
Activity description
Start date
Due date
Assignee
Status
Creator of the activity
Linked projects
Tags
Adding cost estimates, vendors, invoices, and documents to an activity
In the edit activity popup, you will find multiple sections you can edit. You can add cost estimates in section two, vendors in section three, invoices in section four, and documents in section five.
These sections are completely optional however, and if your activity doesn’t require any of the above, you can leave the sections blank.
Adding status updates to an activity
To add a status update for an activity, first return to the list of activities on the activities page.
Find the activity you would like to add notes for. Go to the action column, press the drop-down arrow, and select “view activity” from the drop-down menu.
You will see a bar on the right-hand side titled “Activity Notes”. You can type your notes in that section, tag the people you need to, and go back and edit your notes if need be.
You can also add a status update by going into "view" mode in an activity. You will find the option to add a status update on the right side of the screen.

Navigate to view mode by clicking the name of the activity you would like to view if you are in table view, otherwise, click the arrow in the action column and click "view"
A sidebar should appear, allowing you to add notes to the activity.
If you do not see the sidebar, click the green chat icon on the bottom right of your screen to have the notes section pop up.
